Access to Capital Series: Session Three - 12-Month Cash Flow & Use of Funds (Online)
Why This Workshop Exists:
Getting a business loan can feel like walking into a test you never studied for. Lenders speak a different language — DSCR, collateral, capacity, cash flow, use of funds, and if you don't understand what those terms mean or how they apply to your business, your application can be declined without you ever fully understanding why.
What You Need to Participate:
• Your business numbers, or a willingness to find them
• An understanding of your business and its goals
• A willingness to ask questions
• Four sessions of focused participation
What You'll Walk Away With:
By the end of the workshop, you'll have three essential components of a lender-ready application.
- A 12-Month Financial Plan
A simple, month-by-month picture of what your business expects to earn, spend, and retain — including how money is expected to move into and out of the business. - A "Can I Actually Pay This Back?" Worksheet
This is your Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR) worksheet.
DSCR is one of the ways lenders evaluate whether a business generates enough cash to cover its debt obligations.
You'll learn how to calculate it, understand what it means, and use it to evaluate your own borrowing capacity. - A Lender-Ready Package
You'll assemble a concise package that includes:
• A summary of your business
• Your financial information
• A clear explanation of how the loan proceeds will be used
• Supporting financial documents
• A checklist of personal financial information the lender may request

- October 5 - Session 1 - Understanding Your Lender, DSCR, and the 5 C's of Credit
- October 12 - Session 2 - Identify Key Drivers of Revenue & Build Your 12-Month Financial Plan
- October 19 - Session 3 - Understand and Complete your 12-Month Cash Flow Forecast & Use of Funds Statement
- October 26 - Session 4 - Assemble Your Lender-Ready Package
