Food Service Series: Part Two - Foundations of Launching a Food Service Business (Online)
Series Overview: Have you ever thought about opening your own food service business? Have you said aloud, “I should open a food truck or a restaurant"? Do you know what steps to take to make this a reality? The six-part series, How to Launch a Food Service Business: From Spark to Start, will walk you through the steps to consider from the initial idea to obtaining your certificate of occupancy. Session #1 will provide a big picture overview that will be followed by five additional sessions where the essential fundamentals of opening and operating a food service business will be presented in more detail. Each session will provide tangible action items that if followed will make your idea of a food service business a reality by the end of the series! Session #2 Overview: Opening a food service business requires planning and preparation. This session will discuss the importance of doing a market analysis, preparing a well organized business plan, and being realistic about the initial start-up costs to get the ball rolling. In this session we will highlight the key team members needed to ensure sustainability and success.
