From Idea to Impact: Starting a Nonprofit in North Carolina
ONLINE WEBINAR
Course Description
Starting a nonprofit involves far more than filing paperwork. In this practical workshop, participants will learn the foundational steps required to launch and sustain a nonprofit organization in North Carolina. Topics include defining a clear mission, understanding the difference between nonprofit and for-profit structures, selecting a board of directors, filing with the Secretary of State, applying for 501(c)(3) status, building community trust, and developing an early funding strategy. Participants will also explore common mistakes new nonprofits make and how to create an organization designed for long-term impact and sustainability. Whether you are beginning with a community idea or formalizing an existing grassroots effort, this session provides a realistic roadmap for moving from vision to operational nonprofit.
