Advanced Grant Writing
This course is for individuals that are familiar with the grant writing process. This class will teach participants how to write grant proposals essential to acquire grant funding from government agencies and private foundations. This in-depth class will provide students the skills needed to develop and submit competitive funding proposals on an advanced level.
About Althea
I am the President at Lewis Grant Writing Services, LLC. I possess over twenty years of experience in grant writing and consulting, having successfully secured more than $50M in grant funding for clients. I have a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership. I am also pursuing a certificate in Nonprofit Management at Duke University. Through my extensive experience, I have developed a deep understanding of the grant writing process and am dedicated to helping individuals and organizations achieve their goals.
My expertise extends to the facilitation of various grant writing and nonprofit seminars at over a dozen local community colleges across North Carolina. In addition, I contribute my skills and knowledge to serve as a peer grant reviewer for the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA), Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the US Department of Education, Americorp, United Way, and other local and national funding organizations.
I am recognized for my exceptional presentation skills, having presented at numerous workshops and conferences nationwide, such as the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA), the Grant Professionals Association (GPA), and the Hampton University Ministers’ Conference. As a current member of GPA (national) and NC Chapter GPA, I remain committed to providing high-quality, professional grant writing and consulting services that meet the diverse needs of my clients.
