Welcome to the Small Business Center at A-B Tech!  We are here to assist you in starting your own business or to help you expand your existing business.  

The Small Business Center offers a number of services at no cost including confidential counseling, seminars on a variety of business topics as well as a resource library of electronic and print materials specifically dedicated to small businesses.


 In addition, we would like to announce a new on-demand, no cost entrepreneurial training program available to Small Business Center clients: 

HP LIFE (Learning Initiative for Entrepreneurs)
On-demand, available until December 31

HP Learning Initiative for Entrepreneurs (HP LIFE) is a global program that offers aspiring entrepreneurs and small business-owners valuable business skills. HP LIFE offers participants a path to realizing their business dreams. The NC Small Business Center Network, in partnership with the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE), is pleased to offer this innovative program to NC entrepreneurs and small business owners free of charge! This program is self-paced, making it possible for more aspiring entrepreneurs to participate. All you have to do is register to start.  Register!

Those in attendance will examine a digital tool box of utilities and services to help paint a picture of proper productivity in today’s fast paced world. Attendees will also explore tools like Zapier and, “If This, Than That”, (IFTTT) to learn how to automate the tedious tasks that one must deal with on a daily basis.

Consumer behavior has evolved within the past five years. Seventy-four percent of business-to-business buyers are conducting more than half of their research online before ever talking to a salesperson. Over 60% of the sales cycle is over before a rep gets involved, leaving marketing to be your company's voice for over half of the sales cycle. These developments have necessitated an evolution in sales and marketing - smarketing. Smarketing is the combination of our sales and marketing efforts towards increasing revenue. This course will cover the new business-to-business buyer landscape, and how to implement a smarketing initiative in our own company.
