Small Business Saturday Holiday Market & Street Fair Welcome to our 3rd Annual Small Business Saturday Holiday Market & Street Fair!

This event will be held on November 30th. There will be a registration fee for this event that is non-refundable. We will be open to the public from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch with Victoria Washington at washingtonv@carteret.edu.

This event will be held in the McGee parking lot. Each vendor will be assigned two spaces (parking spaces for vendor setup). Each vendor must provide a general description of what they are selling; this will help eliminate having vendors side by side selling the same product or service.

Vendors are responsible for their own tables, tent, and chairs. Please make sure that you have weights on your tents to secure them. Outlets and electricity will not be provided.

HOURS OF OPERATIONS Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Vendor understands that the Small Business Holiday Market & Street Fair is hosted by the For ME (Minority Entrepreneurs) Networking Group through the Carteret CC Small Business Center. The event will take place on the Carteret Community College Campus, 3505 Arendell Street, Morehead City, NC 28557. All businesses are welcome. You do not have to be a minority owned business to be a vendor.

CHECK-IN / SETUP You can check-in and set up between 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM. Please let us know if you need to arrive sooner for setup. All setups must be completed by 10:00 AM. You can drive your vehicle to your space to set up, but you must have your vehicle in the separate designated vendor parking lot by 10:00 AM.

BREAKDOWN When it's time to break down, you will be able to bring your cars to your spot no earlier than 3:00 PM. When entering and exiting, please use the traffic patterns to keep traffic jams to a minimum when breaking down.

EXPO BOOTHS Booth sizes will be equal to two parking space. Vendors must provide all supplies necessary to operate their booth. No booths will have access to electricity. Tables and chairs will not be provided.

GOVERNING LAWS This Agreement shall be governed by the laws and the health, sanitation, and fire regulations of the State of North Carolina, Carteret County, and Morehead City.

BUSINESS LICENSE & SALES TAX A business license is not required but is desired to be a vendor. All sales taxes are the responsibility of the vendor. The Small Business Center and Carteret Community College assume no liability for the collection of sales tax or other governmental fees.

SECURITY Vendors are responsible for the security of their own property and equipment at all times. The Small Business Center and Carteret Community College shall not be held responsible for loss, theft, or damage to any property. There will be security on the premises.

WEATHER The Small Business Saturday Holiday Market & Street Fair is held rain or shine, but if weather conditions are extremely unfavorable, event officials may cancel a portion or all activities. There is no rain date for the event.

UPDATES All updates, the day of the event, will be made via the Small Business Center’s Facebook Page. These updates will occur if there are any changes, delays, or cancellations due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

CONDUCT The Small Business Saturday Holiday Market & Street Fair Market is a family-oriented event for all ages. Behaviors unsuitable for the event, or which constitute a public nuisance, will not be permitted.

LIABILITY Vendor shall indemnify and hold the Small Business Center, Carteret Community College, and the Town of Morehead City, contractors, and volunteers harmless from any claim or cause of action arising out of or in connection with the acts or omissions of the Vendor under this agreement. Vendor shall reimburse Carteret Community College for any costs, including but not limited to, reasonable attorney’s fees incurred in defense against any such claim.

RELEASE Vendor registration form indicates acceptance of the terms and participation rules listed above.
