This workshop series is designed to introduce middle and high school students (grades 7–11) to entrepreneurship. The program emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and practical business skills through interactive activities and games. By the end of the series, students will understand what an entrepreneur is, how to develop a business idea, and how to market, price, and budget for their product or service. Objectives: -Inspire youth to see themselves as problem-solvers and potential entrepreneurs. - Teach foundational business concepts in a fun, age-appropriate way. - Provide hands-on practice with tools like the Lean Canvas and budgeting worksheets. - Build confidence in pitching ideas and presenting solutions. Part 2 Program Structure: Workshop: How to Market, Price, and Sell - Game: Guess the Brand – Students recognize logos/jingles. - Activity: Price It Right – Role-play selling a product and setting a fair price. - Challenge: Sales Pitch – Students pitch their product using a simple formula. Workshop: Basic Business Budgeting - Game: Budget Bingo – Identify fixed vs. variable costs. - Activity: Lemonade Stand Budget – Students calculate costs, revenue, and profit. - Challenge: Profit or Loss? – Teams adjust budgets based on scenarios. Break Wrap-Up & Reflection - Students reflect on what they learned and how they might apply it. By the end of the series, students will: - Understand what entrepreneurs do and why they matter. - Be able to identify problems and propose solutions. - Create a simplified Lean Canvas for their idea. - Practice marketing, pricing, and pitching. - Build a basic budget and calculate profit/loss. This two-morning series equips youth with the mindset and tools to think like entrepreneurs. Through playful learning and practical exercises, students will leave with confidence, creativity, and a foundation for future business exploration.
