From Idea to Opportunity: Preparing for the SBCN Startup Showdown and Starting Your Business Webinar
This three-hour seminar is designed for individuals who are interested in applying for the SBCN Startup Showdown and are in the early stages of exploring or starting a business. This session will walk participants through the SBCN Startup Showdown application process and expectations, introduce the entrepreneurial mindset needed for success, and provide a practical overview of the key steps required to start a business in North Carolina.
This seminar will help participants determine whether entrepreneurship — and the Startup Showdown — is the right next step for them and will help them begin preparing a strong application.
Please note: This seminar may be used to satisfy the three-hour counseling requirement for the SBCN Startup Showdown only with approval from your local Small Business Center Director. Participants are responsible for confirming eligibility with their local Small Business Center prior to counting this seminar toward the counseling requirement portion of the application.
