Design and Launch Your Small Business Website with Carrd (NEW)
A user-friendly alternative to Google Sites, Carrd allows users to build single-page websites using drag-and-drop templates. Both free and paid versions are available, with paid options offering custom domains and advanced customization features for small business owners. While similar services can cost ten times as much, the paid versions, which range from $9, $19, and $49 annually, support multiple sites.
Attendees will learn how to use Carrd’s block-based editor to add text, lists, images, videos, links, forms, and more. With certain plans, users can also customize text blocks by changing their color, font, size, or adding animations. Options for seamlessly integrating Carrd with PayPal, Stripe, Gumroad, Shoprocket, and Facebook will also be covered. Bring your marketing text, photos, a fully-charged phone, and your charging cable so you can download your data and leave with a finished website.
NOTE: Classroom space is limited to 20 participants in the computer lab. Carrd requires a login authorization via a 6-digit code sent to each user’s email, so attendees should bring any passwords needed to access their email accounts during the workshop.
