Thu, May 28 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Topic: Financing

In this session, we will take a practical and transparent look at how small businesses successfully secure funding. Many entrepreneurs receive mixed messages about financing - especially around grants, startup loans, and what it takes to qualify. With so much information circulating, it can be difficult to distinguish between common assumptions and actual lending requirements. This course will clarify how different types of funding work and walk through what lenders evaluate when reviewing an application. Participants will gain a better understanding of the Five C’s of Credit, the role of personal investment and financial stability, and why thoughtful planning before applying can significantly improve the likelihood of approval. We will also cover: • The difference between grants, loans, and alternative funding sources • What lenders review in your personal and business financials • Why working capital planning is essential • The role of credit, collateral, equity injection, and cash flow • Steps entrepreneurs can take now to become capital-ready By the end of the session, participants will have a clearer understanding of what it really takes to access capital and a roadmap to strengthen their business before applying for funding.
