Speaker(s): Emily Balance - In her presentations, Emily draws from her experiences in healthcare, education, the corporate world, life and as an entrepreneur and Licensed Professional Counselor. She offers a humorous perspective and engages her audiences by including interaction, structured exercises and discussion. Participants leave with pertinent information and practical suggestions. Emily has owned, operated and marketed her business for over 20 years. She was previously employed at Duke University in Durham, NC; and was also a consultant for “StayWell,” Control Data Corporation’s highly successful Employee Assistance Program in Los Angeles. She holds a BA degree in Journalism and a MEd degree from UNC at Chapel Hill. Emily lives in Raleigh, NC. When she is not speaking or traveling, she volunteers her time with older adults and the Autism Society of NC.
