Packing Your Toolbox for a Strong Nonprofit: How to Write A Business Plan

Thu 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Topic: Nonprofit

This is seminar is part of a 6 part series (Packing Your Toolbox For a Strong Nonprofit Series). The topics to be covered include leadership, business plan development, financial management, board development, fundraising and finding and writing grants. The sessions will be held every other week beginning on February 8 and running through April 19. Once you enroll in the Leadership Development seminar, you will automatically be registered for the other 5 seminars associated with this series. Lunch provided beginning at 12:30 PM. The most important task in starting a new business or growing an existing business is the business plan. No lender will discuss financing without one. Without a well thought out, written business plan, many small businesses may be doomed to failure. This seminar is designed to explain exactly what goes into a business plan, why, and how to properly manage from it. Research techniques are also covered. For those who decide to continue, your Community College Small Business Center counselor will work with you on on-one basis until the plan is complete.
