This seminar is designed to assist nonprofit organizations in identifying potential funding opportunities and will provide a comprehensive overview of the necessary steps to be taken before seeking funding. Our speaker, Althea Lewis, MBA is the President of Lewis Grant Writing Services, LLC. Lewis Grant Writing Services provides grant writing and consulting services to nonprofit and for-profit organizations to help them secure funding for programs and services. She leverages her 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector to secure over $50 million in grant funds. She is passionate about helping organizations accomplish their goals and mission. She has facilitated numerous workshops, trainings, and conferences worldwide. She obtained an MBA degree in 2017 and is currently pursuing a certificate in Non-Profit Management and a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership. She is a part-time instructor and facilitates grant writing seminars through the Small Business Center (SBC) at several local community colleges. Althea Lewis serves as a peer grant reviewer for the US Department of Health & Human Services, US Department of Education and other national and local funding agencies. She is a member and approved trainer for the national Grant Professionals Association (GPA), and a member of the North Carolina Chapter GPA and National Association of Federal Education Program Administrators (NAFEPA).
