Business Taxes 101 (Core) - Online

Learn what is required of the small business owner when filing taxes, what tax dates are important, and what records should be kept, and the actual process of filing. Learn what triggers tax audits and steps to take in order to prevent or survive an audit. Notice: This course meets the "Your Small Business Taxes" requirement of the Small Business Startup Certification. The Small Business Startup Certification is a non-curriculum certificate program. Completion of this program does not contribute toward a Stanly Community College degree or certificate and is not recorded on a college transcript. All seven core classes must be attended in order to submit an application for your certificate. Classes taken prior to January 1st, 2025 will not be counted toward certification.
