How to Write a Business Plan - Online
A business plan is a document that outlines your business’s financial goals and explains how you’ll achieve them. A strong, detailed plan will provide a road map for the business’s success! Nearly 70% of successful business owners recommend writing a business plan before you start a business, and yet, more than 10% of prospective business owners said they do not intend to write a business plan. Another 10% aren’t sure if they need a plan at all. It’s more than the old cliché: A failure to plan is a plan to fail. In fact, a wealth of data now exists on the difference a written business plan makes, especially for small or growing companies. When done right, business plans have enormous payoffs. Let me show you how! Notice: This course meets the "How to Write a Business Plan" requirement of the Small Business Startup Certification. The Small Business Startup Certification is a non-curriculum certificate program. Completion of this program does not contribute toward a Stanly Community College degree or certificate and is not recorded on a college transcript. All seven core classes must be attended in order to submit an application for your certificate. Classes taken prior to January 1st, 2025 will not be counted toward certification.
