Starting a business can be daunting. Why leap without having the tools to soar? Have an idea for a product or service but do not know where to start? The Small Business Center at Stanly Community College is accepting applications for Taking the Leap: A Small Business Startup Crash Course!

▶ Collaborative Learning: Immerse yourself with other like-minded individuals, ask questions, and receive personalized advice over the course of four, in-person sessions. You will gain valuable insights into the key elements of starting and running a successful business.

▶ Expert Guidance: Stanly Community College Small Business Center is thrilled to be partnering with the Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) of UNC Charlotte. We welcome Jules Monroe, SBTDC Business Launch Specialist, as our program host.

▶ Startup Essentials: Entrepreneurs can expect to add the following items to their toolbox:

• Business Plan Templates/Outlines/Guides
• Financial Projection Templates
• Intellectual Property Guide
• Digital Marketing Guide
• Market and Industry Research
• Customer Discovery Guide
• Startup Checklist

✅ Participants must agree to attend all four, in-person sessions listed below:

• Value Proposition: 4/8/2024 from 6pm-8pm
• Business Planning: 4/15/2024 from 6pm-8pm
• Financial Projections: 4/22/2024 from 6pm-8pm
• Marketing and Pitch: 4/29/2024 from 6pm-8pm

🏆 Obtain a Certificate of Completion for attending all four sessions!

💲 Attend all sessions and be eligible to enter the Pitch Competition taking place in the last session. 1st Place Winner: $500, 2nd Place Winner: $250, 3rd Place Winner: $100.
