What do businesses need to consider regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace? Come learn the basic principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) work. You will hear from a Stanly Community College equity coach about the vital DEI work faculty and staff are doing on our campus and how you can begin this work at your organization. Dr. Kara Finch is the Dean of Public Services and Program Head of Human Services. She has been with SCC for 7 years. She is an active member of the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Acceptance (IDEA) Team at SCC, and an SCC Equity Coach. She is also the 2023 recipient of the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges Excellence in Teaching Award.
