Appalachian Farm School 2023

Turn your interest in growing vegetables, fruits, herbs, other crops and livestock into a sustainable agriculture-based business. This practical hands-on approach gives you the skills needed to create and strengthen a successful business venture. you will also be introduced to resources and contacts you need to run your business more efficiently and effectively. Topics will include:

~Business Planning ~Farm Evaluation and Goal Setting ~Marketing and Pricing ~Understanding the Numbers ~Rules and Regulations ~Resources and Funding Options

Please note that this program is a hybrid course. These classes will meet Monday nights from 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM, January 16th to March 6th. It will meet in person for the first class, and then for some or all of the remaining weeks. The face-to-face meetings are subject to change to virtual programming, but participants are expected to participate in each class regardless of the delivery method.
