Ice House training uses video case studies of real entrepreneurs, guided discussion, practical exercises, peer workshop activities, and the Opportunity Discovery Canvas so participants can begin identifying a real problem, thinking through solutions, considering customers and stakeholders, and refining their idea over time. They will also have access to the online modules that have assignments pushing them from idea to real world solutions! In the 5-session format, participants are not just listening. They are working. They complete application assignments, discuss their ideas in class, revise their thinking, and build toward presenting their concept. There are also activities like interviewing an entrepreneur, peer feedback, and final pitch-style presentations. So yes, there is structure, there are projects, there are case studies, and there are group activities built into the experience. On top of the core Ice House framework, the way I personally facilitate it adds another layer of practical value. I have each participant talk about their business idea and their specific needs. As those needs come up, I work through them live in class. I also bring in insight from other entrepreneurs in my network when possible so participants can hear real-world answers to real-world questions. Many times, we literally work through daily solutions on the whiteboard that are specific to the businesses represented in the room.
