From Service to Startup: Entrepreneurship for Bladen County Veterans & Their Families is a workshop designed specifically for Bladen County veterans and their family members who are interested in starting, growing, or exploring the possibility of owning a business.

Participants will learn how the valuable skills gained during military service can be applied to entrepreneurship.

They workshop includes:

  • The definition of an entrepreneur,
  • Key elements involved in starting a business,
  • The unique benefits and programs available to veterans who choose to pursue small business ownership, and
  • Information on local, state, and national resources that provide training, funding guidance, and ongoing support for veteran entrepreneurs.

The workshop will conclude with an open discussion where veterans can share their business ideas, identify their needs, and explore next steps for moving forward with support from the Small Business Center and partner organizations.

This workshop is a partnership of the Small Business Center at Bladen Community College and the Small Business and Technology Development Center at Fayetteville State University.

Following the workshop, attendees are invited to stay on campus for the Vietnam Veterans Commemoration ceremony at 11am.
