Topic: Marketing and Sales

Your website is the face of your business online and the perfect way to inform customers of who you are, what you do, and why they should buy from you. This course will explore the WIX platform, how it works, and why it is good for small businesses. We will view several templates to discuss the different aspects of good website design that lead to customer conversions. Next, we will cover some do's and don'ts of website development and how website maintenance and hosting works. Upon completion, students will be familiar with the WIX platform and be equipped to move forward in website planning. This course will be held in a computer lab. Basic computer literacy is required. Students completing all 4 sessions will receive a certificate of completion from the Richmond CC Small Business Center. Our Principle Instructor, Renae Simon, has over 15 years’ experience in business consulting, marketing and advertising, facilities management, special events management, and sales. She is a graduate of UNC-Greensboro. She is also a graduate of the REAL (Rural Entrepreneurship Action Learning) Institute and is a licensed facilitator of the course.
