Bring your lunch and join other small business owners and entrepreneurs! This month's speaker is H. B. Moore, VP and General Manager of Piedmont Service Group. In 1989, Moore joined Piedmont in a commercial service sales role. From 1990 - 1993 he sold commercial and industrial service contracts throughout the untapped region of eastern NC. In 1993 he opened Piedmont’s first satellite office and employed three service technicians, two office staff, one sales rep, about 35 customers and a $325,000 base of customers. From 1996 - 2000, he helped to launch Piedmont’s Wilmington location. In 2001 H.B. was offered an opportunity to become a part owner of the Piedmont Service Group. From 2011 – 2014 he held a dual role as Regional Vice President and General Manager over Chesapeake, Va. operations as well as eastern NC operations. Today, Piedmont Service Group is the second largest of Piedmont’s eight operations across NC, SC, and VA. Their 10,500 square foot operations center in Greenville’s industrial park is currently home base to 43 employees. They serve 300 customer sites across the east, including Grady-White Boats, Hyster-Yale, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plains, medical offices, college campuses, and many others. Moore will share his wealth of knowledge in creating a successful business.
