Getting Ready for Grant Writing (this is an in-person seminar)

Wednesday, January 17, 2024, 11-1pm

Delamar Center, Pamlico Community College

The grant application process is time-consuming, stressful and - very often - does not lead to a successful result. It is critical that non-profits have the necessary information, tools and strategies in place before even starting the grant process. Is your organization truly a good fit for the grant? Are you collecting and tracking relevant data and impact information for your grant? These topics and more will be addressed. In addition, the President of the Harold H. Bate Foundation will share his insight regarding grant execution.

After serving for 11 years as the executive director of QENO (Quality Enhancement for Nonprofit Organizations), instructor Natasha Davis starting her own non-profit consulting firm, WPS Strategies. Jeanne Tedrow, president of the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits highlights Natasha's message that resonates across the nonprofit community, "AMPLIFY our voices, CONNECT organizations to needed resources, CULTIVATE our nonprofit leaders, and STRENGTHEN our organizations."

Guest speaker Don Brinkley serves as the president of the Harold H. Bate Foundation, the largest private foundation donor in our 5-county area. He will provide insight about what makes a successful grant and why others miss the mark.

This event is free; lunch is provided. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
