This proposed introductory course will span two hours and cover the essentials for starting a business, topics will be include (but not limited to):
- Entity Formation (why this is important vs. doing it under personal name)
- Understanding Cash Flow and Balance Sheets
- Asset vs. Liability
- Networking
- Social Media (TikTok, IG, X, YouTube, FB, etc.)
- Marketing Basics
- Intro to accounting and understanding taxes
- AI
- Legal Liability
All of the bullet points above will be tied into Montgomery CC Gunsmithing Program and how the skills learned can be poured into an entrepreneurial journey of your own and topics covered include:
- Gunsmithing Industry Geography (Regional vs. National Reach)
- Basic maintenance & repairs vs. Customization
- Workforce Shortfall (Nationally vs. Regional)
- Gaining Experience through corporate work
- Leveraging
- Building protective "legal shield(s)" around the business
