BUSINESS ACCOUNTING BASICS
Basic Accounting: Accounting analyzes, reviews, interprets and reports financial information for the business that the bookkeeper has entered. Accounting also includes preparing year-end financial statements and making appropriate business decisions based upon the financial information available. In this class, we will: • Introduce terms used in accounting and reasons for making journal entries. • Understand the basics of critical areas of accounting: assets, reconciling, expanding your books with payroll, inventory, etc. • Acquire skill in correcting errors. • Discover how to interpret your financial reports. • Learn tips and advice about working with an accountant or tax preparer.
