Participants will learn how to determine if they are ready to start a business, understand the different types of business structures, and decide which option best fits their goals. The session will cover how to check business name availability locally and nationally, how to form an LLC, DBA, or sole proprietorship, and how to decide between a brick-and-mortar business or an eCommerce model.

The class also explains state business tax registration requirements and walks through how to obtain a business license and Employer Identification Number (EIN). By the end of this session, attendees will have a clear roadmap for getting their business set up the right way—confidently and compliantly.
