Speaker(s): Your instructor, Richard L. McDonald, is a North Carolina native. He was born in Wilson and was raised in Durham. He is a graduate of the University of Memphis. His investment career started in Atlanta, Georgia with E.F. Hutton and Company in 1979. He transitioned to Oppenheimer and Company where Corporate Retirement Plans, primarily 401k became his specialty. A major part of his services was employee education on investments for 401k Plan participants. His goal was to educate employees on Investment options and how the choices could coincide with their own investment objectives. Clients included Longhorn Steaks, CNN, and Turner Broadcasting System.
