Session 1 - Community Partnerships That Work
This session helps nonprofit leaders understand how to build and manage community partnerships that lead to stronger programs, shared outcomes, and better funding opportunities. The focus is on collaboration that is intentional, clearly defined, and useful to all partners involved.
Participants will learn how to identify the right partners, define shared goals, clarify roles, and use simple agreements to support accountability and follow-through.
Session Overview
This session provides practical guidance on when collaboration makes sense, how to identify and assess community partners, and how partnerships can strengthen impact and funding opportunities. Participants will review common partnership challenges, learn the purpose and key components of Memorandums of Understanding, and explore how partnerships can support joint funding efforts, grant applications, and shared outcomes. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how to build and manage partnerships that support their mission without creating confusion or added strain.
Session 2 - From Goals to Action: Strategic Planning for Nonprofits
This session provides a clear and practical overview of strategic planning for nonprofit organizations. It focuses on helping leaders move from broad goals to clear priorities, action steps, and measures of progress.
Participants will learn how to assess readiness, gather input, set priorities, and develop a plan that guides decisions, budgeting, and fundraising.
Session Overview
This session walks participants through the core elements of a strategic planning process that is realistic and usable. Participants will explore organizational readiness, stakeholder input, mission alignment, priority setting, and goal development, along with how to translate priorities into action steps with timelines, responsibility, and measures of progress. The session also addresses how strategic plans support budgeting, fundraising, communication, and ongoing decision-making so plans remain active and relevant.
