How to Develop an Online Course

This program is an internal professional development program and NOT open to the general public. An exciting program designed specifically for SBC Directors and others who may be asked to develop or manage online programs. At the end of this session you should be comfortable leading an online program development team then managing online programs. Topics include: • Distance Learning Overview: A broad overview of distance learning, skills and resources for teaching online and best practices for fostering an online community. • How to develop an online seminar: Introduction to the basic steps in creating an online seminar either from your existing classroom materials or from free educational resources. • Oversight, Management, and Maintenance: How to manage and maintain an engaging, dynamic resource for continued success.
