Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship
invites Cumberland County small business starts-ups and struggling business up to 2 years to attend
REAL Entrepreneurship covers the ‘nuts and bolts’ of starting and running a business. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn by doing things that entrepreneurs do to be successful. You and your classmates will work together to solve mysteries like projecting cash flow, negotiating leases, preparing for a business loan, how to do marketing that generates sales, and many other topics.
REAL began in 1985 and has helped thousands of North Carolinians start or improve all types of businesses… ag and food businesses; arts and crafts; retail sales; consumer services; business-to-business companies… what you do and learn in the REAL program applies to every business.
This is a Face-to-Face, hands-on class where you learn by doing. The course is taught by Certified REAL Entrepreneurship Facilitators from the FTCC Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
REAL Entrepreneurship is a 9-week class will guide you through the process of developing a basic business plan and a presentation to compete in pitch contests to win from $5,000 to $50,000 awards.
This course is designed for early-stage businesses and committed entrepreneurs launching and growing a new venture or expanding an existing business.
This is a WORKshop style program that requires the active participation of attendees.
Classes will be held Tuesdays beginning February 1st through March 29th, 2022. Starting at 6:00pm at FTCC General Classroom Building Room 108/114 each week.
Tuition is $125 which includes the cost of the workbook.
