Wed, May 20 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Topic: Nonprofit

Strong records retention policies are essential for nonprofit organizations—not only to stay compliant with legal requirements but also to protect the organization’s reputation, efficiency, and accountability. This interactive training is designed for nonprofit executive directors and board members who want to understand how to develop, implement, and follow effective records retention policies. We’ll explore the consequences of poor recordkeeping, strategies for securely destroying records, and best practices that ensure both transparency and compliance. Participants will leave with practical tools to strengthen their organizations’ records retention systems and reduce risk.

This session is being offered in partnership with the City of Jacksonville, United Way of Onslow County and Coastal Carolina Community College's Small Business Center.

Registration will flow through the City of Jacksonville. The link to register can be found on here: https://jacksonvillenc.gov/131/Community-Affairs
