August Tax Talks: What Every Small Business Should Know A three-part series

Workshop 3

Running your business from home? This workshop will help you understand how to legally and effectively claim the home office deduction. We’ll break down the simplified method, qualifying tests (exclusive use, regular use, principal place of business), deductible expenses, and how to calculate your deduction. You’ll also learn what activities don’t disqualify your space, what the IRS doesn’t allow, and how selling your home may affect your taxes. Perfect for freelancers, remote workers, and home-based entrepreneurs looking to make the most of their workspace.
