The Small Business Center is pleased to partner with the Alamance Chamber for this engaging 6-week series of sessions to guide business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs on a journey to launch and grow their business ventures in Alamance County.

Each session is independent; that way participants may attend one or more; however, we invite you to attend all.

Week 2 HR Essentials and the Privilege of Hiring Employees

North Carolina has a diverse and growing economy offering opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs as well as job seekers. In fact, studies show some of the greatest reasons to start a business in North Carolina include: a strong economy, cost of living, education and talent, future workforce development and a business-friendly environment; however, if you are planning to grow the capacity of your business with employees or contractors you will need to:

*be mindful of HR essentials from a regulatory standpoint

*the privilege (cost and benefits) of hiring others to support the work and customer base for your small business

*learn what it takes to stand out in a sea of employers

*effectively communicate your job postings to partners, key stakeholders and the general public

*and, ways to strategically target the right talent for your growing business

This session is FREE and open to the public. Registration is required as space is limited.
