eCommerce Part 1 -- Selling Products On-Line

One way to expand your market is to sell products online. We will explore the features of well-known e-commerce hosts such as the eBay Store and Amazon.com, as well as other options for creating an online store. PayPal and other payment gateways will also be discussed. At the end of these sessions, you will be able to: 1) Do you need to sell online? 2) Have an understanding of your online store options 3) Understand the differences between platforms and determine what is right for you. 4) Set up your online store 5) Develop an online store marketing plan

In order to get the most out eCommerce 1 & 2, participants should be prepared to actually set up an online store. Participants should bring (on a flash drive) photos of products, product or service descriptions, marketing material, and anything else pertinent to listing products online for sale. By the end of the first session, we will have a store setup. During the second session, participants will be able to modify their store with the assistance of the instructors and others in the class offering suggestions to make the store the best it can be.
