Class is located in the 1st floor meeting room in the Bryant Student Center - How to start, grow, and expand a salon, beauty shop and/or barber shop. This work shop will help men and women desiring to start a new salon, beauty shop, spa, and/or barber shop business. The training includes insight, benefits, and strategies to help an entrepreneur plan a business opening. Discussions will include: What skills and funds will be needed to start the business. How to survey your marketing region to find potential long term customers, creating many profit centers (revenue generators) for the new business. How to create business and marketing plans while using the guide lines booklet provided at the seminar. What is the cost of minimum shop furniture, tools, shelving, and materials needed to start.

Speaker(s): Steve Carver brings real business experience with over forty five years ownership of retail, wholesale, Internet, and service businesses in NC. He serves private enterprises with special training, appraising, and market surveying projects as well as public speaking on business related topics for Small Business Centers throughout the North Carolina Community College System and individual businesses and private group.
