Cybersecurity Summit for Small Business 2020 (Online)

Cybersecurity continues to be an ongoing concern for all aspects of our society. This is especially true for small businesses. Especially since cyber attacks have increased 3 fold since the beginning of the pandemic. To address these concerns, the Richmond Community College Small Business Center is offering a FREE three session seminar series designed to help business owners protect not only your own information but also that of your clients.

The opening session (2:00 pm to 3:00 pm), conducted by Shawn Dulaney of Dulaney Group Technologies, will focus on the following:

• What is cybercrime
• History of cybercrime
• What is cybersecurity
• Categories of cybercrime
• Ransomware

Session two (3:00 pm to 4:00 pm), Cyber Awareness for Small Business in the COVID Era, will discuss:

• How to securely utilize your remote workforce
• Developing a policy for employees that work remotely
• Creating a "Remote Work Checklist

Session three (4:00 pm to 5:00 pm), Enhancing Cybersecurity in Small Businesses, will provide insight on:

• Cybersecurity for Small & Medium Businesses
• Employee Training
• Identifying Security Gaps
• Challenges of Cybersecurity
• Managing Security
