Basics of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

The United States Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Divisions’ (WHD) mission is to promote and achieve compliance with labor standards to protect and enhance the welfare of the Nation's workforce. The laws enforced by WHD apply to 7.3 million establishments and protect 135 million workers. Attendees of this workshop will learn basic information on the Fair Labor Standards Act to include the minimum wage, overtime requirements, common exemptions and violations. This seminar is a must for any small business that might have or hire employees or contractors. Attendees must pre-register and be 18 or older.
