Whether you’re thinking about selling your famous jam or sauce, starting a food truck, or opening a cafe or restaurant, understanding how to start a food business in North Carolina can be a daunting task. This session is designed for current and aspiring food business owners, including culinary students, and will cover a wide range of topics aimed at launching a food company. In this 60-minute session, we’ll cover everything from permits you might need based on your unique food product or service, common legal and insurance considerations, and estimated startup expenses for a wide variety of food companies.
