The SCC Small Business Center Blog

Seminars, Series, Workshops & Certificates

The Small Business Center offers courses, instructional series, workshops and certificates at no cost to participants (our programs are funded by a grant from the NC Legislature to increase the success rate of small businesses).

Counseling and Assistance
Small business owners and prospective owners may also receive free one-on-one counseling, assistance and referrals to appropriate agencies for further counseling.

Resources
A computer in our Van Dusen Hall SBC Resource Center is available for your use and we will help you locate information you need for your business. We have access to the NC Live database leading you to a demographic data profiler called Simply Map to assist you in defining your market. We also have information on area businesses and numerous books and magazines and will assist you in obtaining a free Boyd Library membership for additional resources.

Networking
Professional networking with local chambers of commerce, economic developers, volunteer consultants, and other business groups and professionals enables the SBC to help you with contacts in the community.
