The NC Community Colleges Small Business Center Network (SBCN) is our state’s largest state supported small business initiative.Started in 1984 with the funding of eight small business centers by the North Carolina General Assembly, by 1995 at least one Small Business Center was established at each of the 58 community colleges.
The Rockingham Community College Small Business Center (SBC) provides a full range of services to small business owners, prospective owners and anyone who is determined to be a more successful and fulfilled person.
Small businesses are vital to Rockingham County's economic community. More than 97% of all North Carolina businesses employ less than 100 people and over 80% of all North Carolina businesses employ 20 workers or less.
The SBC provides the following services:
Core business classes for entrepreneurs and small business owners
Direct one-to-one assistance for small business owners and start-ups
Expert resources and relationships throughout the State
Partnerships with state and federal agencies and other financing groups
