Scammers go to great lengths to duplicate letterhead and create phony websites in efforts to scam small business owners. Learn how to identifying suspicious activity, ask the right questions, and do your research. Security breaches can affect customers and the small business. A speaker from the Better Business Bureau will discuss popular small business scams and the importance of protecting sensitive information.

This seminar is a continuation of 'Intro to QuickBooks Part 1' and is an overview and introduction to QuickBooks. As a small business owner or potential owner, you will learn how this system can be used in your small business. Some of the changes between version 2014 and 2015 will be discussed. A key item on the checklist is, do you need Workers’ Comp Insurance. This seminar includes: who needs workers’ compensation insurance, the purpose of workers’ compensation insurance, what are the consequences if you get caught without it. This seminar is a great resource if you already own a small business or are considering starting a small business and will be taught by a representative from the NC Industrial Commission.
