Irene Brooks is the owner of No Place Like Home Senior Services in Garner, NC. She provides free, no obligation consultation for seniors and their families, and her services are vital in Johnston and Wake County. Prior to opening her business, she reached out to her local Small Business Center.

Irene is very knowledgeable and passionate about senior care. She has a background in social work and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Having personally experienced health declines with her own parents, she understands the struggles, concerns, and overwhelming feeling people get when having to make critical decisions for the care of a parent or loved one. She knows what it is like to need help and not know where to turn or even what questions to ask. Irene’s goal is to help families through this difficult time and improve a senior’s quality of life. She provides assistance with non-medical activities such as bathing, grooming, meal preparation, transportation, errands, and all levels of personal care. Additionally, she offers Dementia care, elder care management, caregiver support, and free assisted living placement services.

Irene’s company not only provides the community with much-needed services, she also provides employment opportunities, and her economic impact is impressive. She started her business in December 2022 as the only full-time employee. Within a few months, she hired three more employees: one full-time and two part-time. Within 6-7 months, her business had grown to 15 full-time employees and 15 part-time employees.
