Leadership for Women Small Business Owners (4-part monthly series) Do not miss this collaborative opportunity designed for the women business owners. Bring out the best in yourself, while building your capacity to do the same with others. Explore leadership at all levels, while honing in on your unique strengths, style, abilities, roles, goals and challenges in your quest for individual, collective and organizational effectiveness. This leadership series combines elements of personal, professional, organizational and cultural development for a multi-faceted approach to building strong individuals and teams from the inside out. Participants are encouraged to complete the Gallup Strengths Finder prior to the program as a tool for understanding and articulating signature strengths as a foundation for exploring and applying leadership styles. This four session series builds a firm foundation for, cultivating connection, commitment, communication and collaboration in a variety of venues. Each session includes leadership specific content, experiential /problem-solving initiatives, check in and follow up from previous session, lessons learned and observed along with homework assignments. You are encouraged to attend ALL sessions, though each session stands alone as well. Two books are included for those who commit to all four sessions: Engaging Excellence: Bringing Out the Best in Everyone by Gail Ostrishko Don’t Waste Your Talent by Don Huchison and Bob McDonald 11/14/18: Effective Communication and Coaching as a Catalyst Communications is the single most influential factor determining effectiveness in all relationships. People look to leaders to set the tone for interaction, and most of communication is nonverbal. Practice active listening, effective expression, and giving and receiving feedback while exploring the art of encouragement and curious questions as coaching tools for helping people help themselves.
