Inventors Workshop: Patents 101
Learn the process of patenting your new invention. This seminar will discuss the basics of patents. Topics will include invention evaluation, patent searches, provisional patents, and utility patents. Taught by a patent attorney, this seminar will equip inventive entrepreneurs with an understanding of the patent process.
Speaker(s): Raina Haque Bio: Raina Haque, JD is the founder of Erdős Intellectual Property Law. For her, creativity and critical analysis go hand-in-hand. She is an intellectual property attorney registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She counsels startups, small businesses, and individual inventors as well as major health care and research institutions. Raina draws from her rigorous and varied experiences as an entrepreneur, a Wall Street business analyst, a software engineer and a NIH fellow in the neuromolecular toxicology and nuclear magnetic resonance groups. She clerked in Federal Middle District of North Carolina where she analyzed business litigation and drafted precedent-setting legal opinions that became the law of the Federal Middle District of North Carolina.
