Direct marketing techniques in rural regions can be unique to each type of market; so what are the keys to attracting customers in our region? This session will provide resources and information from NC Department of Agriculture on successful direct marketing techniques for small scale producers and retailers, as well as highlighting the experience of a local entrepreneur. Participants will also learn how existing marketing for SNAP/EBT can increase a producer’s revenue.

Immediately after this session, you will have 15 minutes to visit the Vendor Tables for the last time. At 3:00 pm, we will share some Closing Information with you and have Door Prize Drawings- You must be present to win! At 3:15 pm, you will be dismissed. Those who registered for the tours at Dean's Farm Market will see an example of Agritourism at work in Wilson County. Please find a map inside your packet or use a GPS to arrive at the location by 4 pm. There will be hayrides and time to tour the specialty buildings on site as well as the market.
