Registration for this session is for week 1 of 5 in the Main Street Entrepreneur Accelerator.

The Main Street Entrepreneurs Accelerator (MSEA) program is a training and pitch competition for student entrepreneurs and small business owners in Wake County, aimed at accelerating business growth. Funded by the Conlon Venture Fund and Mike Conlon, President/Owner of Affordable Communities Group, LLC, and a Wells Fargo grant, the program's goal is to reduce barriers and provide education so that entrepreneurs achieve greater, more sustainable success with their existing businesses.

Wake County small business owners and entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to pitch for awards from $2,500 to $20,000 and student entrepreneurs can pitch for awards from $2,500 to $8,000 to help accelerate their business growth.

Any small business owner in Wake County is eligible to participate in the training. Pitch eligibility is listed on the website linked below.

Week 1. In this session, we will talk about you as a business owner. Why are you opening your business? What makes it the right fit for you?

Successful companies solve problems. This week you will be given a framework to help define the problem your customers are facing. Then you will work through identifying and describing your ideal customer. We will also talk about the single most powerful tool that you have as a small business owner.

Learning Outcomes: Describe the problem that your customer faces. Describe your ideal customer avatar. Your choices as a small business owner.
