Here at the VGCC Small Business Center, we know that working for yourself can be fulfilling, but getting started can be difficult for people. It may feel like you need a small fortune to get your business off the ground. Not all new ideas or businesses require investors or loans. Whether you have $1,000 to begin or not, there are a lot of low-cost business ideas that can enable you to accomplish your innovative dreams. Brian Hamilton co-founded Sageworks, the country’s first fintech and largest provider of software to U.S. banks. He sold the company to a leading private equity firm in 2018. He is also the founder of Inmates to Entrepreneurs, a national program that helps people with criminal records start their own small businesses. Inmates to Entrepreneurs is supported by the Brian Hamilton Foundation, which provides access to entrepreneurship to people who would not otherwise have it. This is a live webinar and logging-in to join the webinar at least five minutes prior to the start time is highly recommended.
