Packing Your Toolbox for a Strong Nonprofit: Financial Management

This is seminar is part of a 6 part series (Packing Your Toolbox For a Strong Nonprofit Series). The topics to be covered include leadership, business plan development, financial management, board development, fundraising and finding and writing grants. The sessions will be held every other week beginning on February 8 and running through April 19. Once you enroll in the Leadership Development seminar, you will automatically be registered for the other 5 seminars associated with this series. Lunch provided beginning at 12:30 PM. This seminar provides an understanding of financial management for nonprofits and focuses on topics integral to nonprofit fiscal management. Learn finance terms as they relate to the effective operation of a nonprofit organization. Discuss how to track income and expenses to specific programs to fulfill expectations of funders, donors and the IRS. Understand the role both the board and the staff play in financial management as well as the importance of transparent financial management. Become familiar with financial statements, budgeting, and audit preparation.
