Tips to Creating a Business Plan or Entering Transylvania Business Expansion Competition Location: BRCC Transylvania County Campus - Brevard Date: Tuesday, September 6, 2016 Time: 8:00am-10:00am Building: Applied Technology Building Room: 220 Cost: Program is offered at no charge, due to sponsor support, from the State of North Carolina and Blue Ridge Community College Small Business Center. Description: Program is designed to help entrepreneurs looking to borrow money for your business or Transylvania County businesses entering the Transylvania Business Plan Expansion Competition. (First Place Prize $15,000 and Second Place Price $10,000) During the program, we will provide tips to filling out the Transylvania Business Plan Expansion Competition application and creating a compelling business plan. The business plan can be used by entrepreneurs as a supporting document for Transylvania Business Plan Expansion Competition or looking to borrow money to start or scale-up your business. A business plan can be the most important tool a small business owner has. Learn how to turn your ideas into a solid plan for financing and long-term success. This seminar teaches you the important components of a business plan and helps you lay the foundation for a winning plan. Discover the dos and don’ts of writing a plan and steps for making the process easy. This seminar is designed for pre-start, start-up and existing business owners that want to create a business plan for 2016 to manage their business or access money through through local microloan organizations, SBA, traditional banks, angel investing, bootstrapping, crowd funding, etc. Entrepreneurs that have taken BRCC SBC classes have won 4 first place business plan competitions in Transylvania and Henderson County. Entrepreneurs have also used their plan to secure funding from local financial organizations. Note: Class size is limited and takes place in a computer lab. If you have a lap top computer you can bring it.
