Seminar: How to Start a Business Date: October 20 Day: Tuesday Time: 1:00-3:00pm Location: Blue Ridge Community College - Transylvania County Campus Building: Applied Technology Building Room: 220 Description: This seminar provides the basics for starting a business, including self-assessment, idea generation, legal structure, licensing, zoning, insurance, financing, market feasibility, and the key elements of a business plan. Upon the completion of this seminar, participants will understand the key steps needed to start a business. This seminar is also good for existing businesses to better insure they have setup their business for sustainable success. Also learn what resources are available and requirements through the federal, state, region, county, city, for-profit and non-profit organizations to help you start or grow your business. Example: BRCC's Small Business Center offers one-on-one confidential business coaching, training's and referrals at no cost due to State of North Carolina funding to help NC entrepreneurs. Example: Learn about free business legal assistance i.e. filing a LLC or Limited Liability Corporation in North Carolina from NCLeap for those that qualify.
